Naomi Pearson is a learner studying the Safety, Health and Environment Technician L3 Apprenticeship and since starting the qualification she has come on leaps and bounds. Naomi is a passionate learner and the awards that she has received at GXO show this. Naomi attended the ‘ESG Ambassador Awards’ on the 4th April, The award ceremonies are held to show the work that each site and ESG Ambassador has put in for the past year. Each site is given a project, and once completed and your data is submitted, you can move onto another project, out of 8 projects Naomi completed 3 for her site based at Raven Mill.
Naomi had great pride is sharing that she won 2 completion awards for the projects and a runner up prize for another project she completed and the main achievement was that she had won “ESG Ambassador of the Year Award”
Naomi says
“There are a total of 120 ambassadors within GXO and I won the Ambassador of the year 😊 This was due to my passion within the workplace and at home for sustainability. I contributed to events such as – Plastic Free July online workshop, Plastic Free July Show and Tell, Recycling Christmas cards to gift tags for charity, producing a video on removal of single use plastic within Raven Mill. It was also mentioned about me assisting other sites and ambassadors with any issues or ideas they needed and always being there when others needed help.”
ESG is a big passion of mine and I’m happy to take part of it within GXO and to educate colleagues on the topic within the workplace and in their home lives.
We wanted to share how proud we are of Naomi, how far she has come and the commitment she has to her role and sustainability. Well Done and well deserved!!!!
